Follow paths, bike routes, roads or green lanes
How the route finds its way between your points.
Under Follow, choose how the route joins your points:

If there’s no path near a point, it’s joined with a straight line, and the planner tells you.
Green lane routing uses map data about which ways are open to vehicles, but that isn’t a legal record: always check a lane’s status before you drive it.
